I don't have any complaints regarding the gameplay, but the game seems to require a lot of performance, given it is a 2D game. Fully utilizing my GPU. My M3 Air therefore thermal throttles very quickly, despite modding it with thermal pads, making the game sadly not very enjoyable on it :(
Really enjoyed playing! Literally my only issue is the Sound Design which obviously I'm gonna be more critical because I'm a Sound Designer and it's like a curse that I notice things that nobody cares about lol.
I think just a couple of corrections that could improve this would be just mild pitch variations for a couple of sounds as they become repetitive and other little things like making the players movement fade when stopping as it noticeably cuts out. I also dislike the jump sound.
Some sounds also feel out of place like the big magnetic blocks make sounds when hitting the top of the magnet machines but the sounds are completely mono and centre, so if the player is on the other side of the room is sounds like its right in next to the player even though it's not.
Some objects also feel like they don't have as much weight as they should. Like pulling both a small and big pipe cover sound the exact same even though there is a clear size difference.
Besides that, visuals amazing, puzzles are REALLY FUN! And I can't wait for the full version to release.
Solid mechanics, but flawed sequencing of these first levels. "In and Out" and "Watch your Step", for example, feel like they should have been the final test for the respective skills they were teaching. It didn't feel right that the end of the demo was considerably easier than the middle of it.
I was also disappointed by the lack of personality in the character designs and environments. I was overly aware that everything I as looking at and interacting with had been placed there by the developer, rather than being an actual part of this game's world.
I do still look forward to the full release, but my expectations have been lowered a bit by this demo.
About your point on "everything being placed there by the developer" - I totally feel this in most games. Rain World and Outer Wilds are rare exceptions where the world feels truly organic. Can you recommend other games that feel this way?
Solid and polished little puzzler, with excellent puzzle design. The only thing I am left wanting is something else to keep me progressing through the puzzles. More story, or characters or something. Half the appeal of portals is Glados. Some compelling reward besides more puzzles would put this over the top for me.
I liked this game a lot, I just wish there was more of it also I think a run button would be nice, even just using the regular action button so you can experiment faster but that's the only slight problem I have also you will probably add this already but a bind for dialogue is missing

Loved it. Looking forward to the full game.
лично как человек каторый не играл в кампютарные игры ЭТА ИГРА ИДЕАЛЬНА!!!!!
Good
if you finish this do i have to pay for it?
Ye
ah shit
Mark, this is the greatest game I have ever played. Don't talk about all the negative bits in your devlogs, reflect on everything that went well.
fire game
Game design oversight: The Player is supposed to build a relationship/identify with the main protagonist, but he is barely visible on a 4k screen.
Made a screenshot and compared it with a screenshot of Hollow Knight. 86x98 versus 118x268 pixels - almost 4 times smaller.
I love the way so many people see constructive criticism and just downvote immediately
Nice.
hay if you need translation from English to Hindi or Urdu i can help
i speak 29 languages
Love it.
i beat it to fast btw i beat it in 2 min
good game but to short
Hi, I'd like to volunteer to translate your game from English into Brazilian Portuguese.
Solid mechanics, but flawed sequencing of these first levels. "In and Out" and "Watch your Step", for example, feel like they should have been the final test for the respective skills they were teaching. It didn't feel right that the end of the demo was considerably easier than the middle of it.

A very polished demo, I do think the main character could have more reactions though.
cool game i know how hard can be to make game like this alone and i respect it
Good Game!
Awesome idea great demo

Well, the reward mentioned in-game is escaping the factory. But we don't even know why we don't want to be inside it.
make a web build :)
I would like to see a character that is a clump of magnetic balls. Even if you already planned all three magnet friends this would be cool to see.
I like the cute graphics and music. I agree with koskkwosk - a run button would be nice. And please add a custom key bind for dialogue.

Bro make it for android please
MoM lol
game of the year indie!!! good job mark!
best game ever!
Fun game, hopefully the puzzles get a lot harder though. It is just a demo so I'm not too worried about it.
